Our Facilities at Oakengates Nursery School

We are delighted to welcome families to Oakengates Nursery School, now located in a modern, purpose-built setting designed specifically to meet the needs of young children. In February 2025, we proudly moved from our previous nursery site, which was located beneath Telford theatre, into this new building—marking an exciting new chapter for our nursery community.

Our purpose-built environment has been carefully planned to provide safe, stimulating and inclusive spaces where children can learn, play and thrive from their very first day with us. The move has allowed us to significantly enhance the facilities available to children, while retaining the warm, nurturing ethos families value.

The building offers bright, well-ventilated classrooms with age-appropriate resources that support learning across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Each space is thoughtfully organised to promote independence, curiosity and high-quality interactions, while also enabling staff to tailor provision to meet individual needs, including SEND and additional support requirements.

Children benefit from direct access to secure outdoor learning areas, supporting free-flow play and regular opportunities for physical development, exploration and wellbeing in all weathers. Our outdoor spaces encourage movement, creativity and collaboration, helping children to develop confidence and resilience.

The setting also includes specialist areas that enhance children’s experiences, such as calm spaces for emotional regulation and sensory exploration, alongside practical facilities that support routines, independence and personal care. High standards of health, safety and safeguarding are embedded throughout the building, giving parents peace of mind.

Our new nursery reflects our commitment to providing a nurturing, inspiring and future-focused environment, where every child feels safe, valued and ready to learn.
