30 Hour Funded Session Options

We understand that families need childcare arrangements that fit around work, routines and family life. That’s why we aim to be as flexible as possible in how our 30-hour funded childcare is delivered, while remaining fully compliant with government guidance.

Eligible families can access 30 hours of funded early education and childcare, which is free at the point of delivery. We offer a range of session patterns to help you choose the option that works best for your child and your family. Some options use the funded hours only, while others allow families to extend the day through clearly defined top-up hours, charged separately.

a no-charge option delivered over 4½ days
full-day options with a small top-up for additional hours
10-hour day options designed to support working families

Any additional charges relate only to hours or services outside the funded entitlement, such as extended childcare or food provision, and are always clearly explained.

Option 1: No charge	30-hour offer Over 4 and half days Monday-Thursday 8.45am-3.30pm (27 hours) Friday 8:45-11:45 (3 hours) Collection at 11:45 on a Friday
Option 2: Top up charge	30-hour offer 5 days, full nursery sessions 8.45am-3.30pm (33.75 hours per week) 3.75 additional to funded 30 hours. Additional top up charge of £22.50 (£6.00 per hour)
Option 3: 10-Hour (7:30am Start)	30-hour offer 10-hour days 7:30am-5:30pm 3 days a week Optional cooked nursery meal/home healthy pack lunch Additional daily charges for breakfast/high tea. (See Food Charges Page)
Option 4: 10-Hour (8am Start)	30-hour offer 10-hour days 8am-6pm 3 days a week Optional cooked nursery meal/home healthy lunch box Additional daily charges for breakfast/high tea. (See Food Charges Page)
Option 5: 10-Hour Top Up *Only 10 hours of funded hours can be allocated per day.	30-hour offer 10-hour days plus+ 30 minutes/1 hour Links with option 3 and 4 30 minutes top up for 10-hour sessions 5:30-6pm. Additional Charges: £3.00 per day for 30 Minutes additional for after the funded hours finish. 7:30-8:00am. Additional Charges: £3.00 per day for 30 Minutes additional for before the funded hours start.
