Information for parents about Ofsted inspections
Our setting is unique in many ways. We are a local authority maintained nursery school but we are also an Early Years registered provider for 0-5 year olds. This means we can offer funded and non funded places.
Generally the places in our baby room for 0-2 year old children are funded by parents who require full day care facilities all year round. Our toddler and pre school rooms are mainly funded by the local authority in term time but some children continue to attend nursery during the holidays.
Ofsted is required by law to inspect local authority nursery schools to provide information to parents, to promote improvement and to hold them to account for the public money they receive.

Providers who are on the Early Years Register, who care for children aged from birth to five, also undergo regular inspections to evaluate the overall quality of its services and to check that it is meeting relevant standards and requirements.
